On the Road with Anthony & Loretta
We’re Anthony and Loretta, the faces behind Getting Lost Downunder. What started as a dream to see more of Australia has turned into a life on the road filled with incredible places, great people, plenty of laughs and a few unexpected adventures along the way.
Like many people, 2020 changed the way we looked at life. It made us think about what we really wanted to do and, more importantly, when we were going to do it. After years of planning, saving, watching countless caravanning videos and dreaming about travelling Australia, we decided it was time to make it happen.
In 2023, we packed up our life, hitched up the caravan and set off to explore Australia.
Since then, we’ve travelled to some truly incredible places. We’ve experienced the magic of Uluru, explored the rugged Flinders Ranges, travelled the spectacular coastline and peninsulas of South Australia, crossed Bass Strait to explore Tasmania, and discovered countless country towns, coastal communities and hidden gems in between.
But Getting Lost Downunder is about much more than the destinations.
We share what life on the road is really like. The amazing camps, the long travel days, caravan life, the gear we use, the things we’ve learnt, the things that don’t quite go to plan and, of course, plenty of laughs along the way.
Through our YouTube channel and social media, we hope to inspire others to get out there and explore this incredible country, whether that means travelling full time, heading off for a few weeks or simply enjoying a weekend away.
One of our favourite parts of this journey has been meeting people along the way. So if you see the Getting Lost Downunder caravan out on the road, at a caravan park or at a show, come over and say g’day! We always love meeting fellow travellers and having a chat.
There’s still plenty of Australia left for us to explore, and we’re looking forward to sharing it all with you.
Here’s to the next adventure. See you out on the road! 🚐🇦🇺
